During peak seasons, demand exceeds supply, and the recipients of vacation weeks are drawn from among the members who have applied for them. The draw is held twice a year.
By winning the draw, you can rent a Holiday Club vacation week at more than half off the market price.

Please note that only OAJ members can take advantage of these vacation weeks. You must be a member at the time of the draw and when you use the vacation week benefit.
In addition to OAJ’s vacation weeks, as an OAJ member, you get a 50% discount on Holiday Club's last-minute deals and a continuous 25% discount on Holiday Club's own vacation apartments. More information about all these benefits is available below.
Applying for and participating in the Holiday Club vacation week draw
You can participate in the draw via Holiday Club's corporate service using your OAJ credentials. You can find the credentials at the top of this page after logging in.
After the draw, any remaining weeks are freely available for members to book. A member can have only one vacation week booked at a time. You can participate in the peak season week draw one year after winning.
The following member groups can make reservations for OAJ-owned Holiday Club vacation weeks only after the draw date:
- OAJ student members, i.e., members of SOOL
- Members of the Senior Teachers' Organization (OSJ)
The vacation periods up for grabs are drawn according to OAJ's grace period rule, meaning a peak season vacation period can only be obtained every third draw. Two draw rounds must be skipped in between.
A person in a grace period cannot see or apply for high-season red dates or destinations for which they are ineligible due to the grace period.
Holiday Club’s last-minute deals and continuous discounts
Holiday Club’s vacation apartments available within the next two weeks are rented at a 50% discount. Check available last-minute deals through Holiday Club's corporate service.
As an OAJ member, you get a continuous 25% discount on Holiday Club’s own vacation apartments. The minimum stay is 2 nights. The discount does not apply to Villas apartments or hotel rooms.
Bookings can be made directly through Holiday Club’s online store by entering the discount code in the "Do you have a campaign code?" field.

How to access Holiday Club benefits and participate in the draw
You can see all your benefits in Holiday Club's corporate service. By logging in to the site, you can participate in the draw and also view detailed information about vacation destinations, available weeks, and the dates of upcoming draws. You can find login instructions here.

OAJ's own holiday destination is Tirva Island in Valkeala
The Tirva recreational area is located in Valkeala, Kouvola, about 20 km from Kouvola city center towards Lappeenranta. The nearly 60-hectare island has five fully equipped holiday homes, each with 2–6 beds.
Rental prices vary depending on the size and standard of the apartment. Please note that Tirva does not provide linens and towels for visitors, so be sure to bring your own.

Booking instructions:
- During the peak season from May to August, you can rent Tirva's holiday homes either from Friday to Sunday (2 nights) or from Monday to Friday (4 nights).
- Outside of holiday periods, weekday bookings are more affordable.
- Outside of peak season, consecutive periods or two holiday homes at the same time can also be booked.
- From May to August, only one booking per member can be active at a time in Tirva. You can make a new booking only after you have used your previous one.
- From September to April, the same person can have two consecutive bookings, e.g., Friday–Sunday and Monday–Friday.
- From September to April, the same person can also book two holiday homes at the same time, e.g., Factory 1 and 2 or the Red House 1 and 2.
If you want to make two bookings at once, you can do so by phone, email, or chat through Holiday Club's corporate service. You will receive confirmation immediately, and invoices and booking documents will be sent via email.
Tirva has a sauna available for members. The Main House and Corner House are only available for rent by OAJ associations.

As an OAJ member, you receive seasonal offers for leisure accommodations at Sokos Hotels in Finland and Tallinn. The extensive hotel network offers excellent opportunities for both active and indulgent holidays.
You can find the offers on the Sokos Hotels website. The 15% discount is only available for bookings made online.
You can make reservations using OAJ's unique booking code. The booking confirmation will be sent directly to your email.
