What do the insurances cover?
Professional legal expenses insurance covers lawyer’s fees and court expenses in disputes and criminal matters related to a public service or a regular employment relationship and in matters processed as administrative procedures or legal actions for the settlement of an administrative dispute.
Professional liability insurance covers personal injuries and property damage caused by the member in the course of their work.
Professional legal expenses insurance is valid if the person has paid the union fee in accordance with the rules of OAJ and has been a member of OAJ for six months prior. The six-month qualifying period does not apply to new members who transfer to OAJ directly from another trade union and who have had equivalent legal expenses insurance in their previous union.
