In the OAJ app you will find, among other things:
- your membership card and number
- OAJ membership benefits
- Member+ benefits
- insurance information
- important information about working life
- OAJ’s electronic services
- current news
- Opettaja magazine
The OAJ application works on Android and iOS operating systems. It does not require a data connection, meaning that the app can also be used offline.
If you do not have a smartphone, you can also print a paper certificate of the membership card from My Profile. Please note that the printout is not a viable travel insurance or visa certificate.
How to download the OAJ app to your mobile phone
- Open your phone’s browser and enter the address https://app.oaj.fi Please note that the app cannot be found in the app stores of the phone manufacturers.
- Download the app and add it to your phone’s home menu.
- Log in to the app with your online banking credentials or mobile certificate.
After logging in, the app offers you the option to mark your phone as a trusted device. If you accept, you will be able to use the app for 12 months without having to log in again.
You can now add your membership card to your mobile Wallet app. Please note that a membership card added to Wallet is not updated. If your membership information (name or association information) changes, please remove the card from Wallet and re-add it.
The year of validity on your membership card is updated automatically.
Downloading the app on different devices
Adding the app to the home menu together with other apps varies slightly, depending on the phone model.
To install the app in the Safari browser on your iPhone:
- When at oaj.fi on Safari, tap the share button (square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen.
- Select “add to home menu”.
- Close the browser, and find the OAJ icon on the home menu of your phone.
- Open the app by tapping the icon, and log in.
On the iPhone iOS, the application can be stored on the phone’s home menu only via the Safari browser.
To install the app on an Android phone:
- Go to oaj.fi on your browser and tap the “Add to home menu” text at the bottom of the screen. If the text does not appear at the bottom of the screen, tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Select “Add to home menu”. If the menu does not contain this text, but you can see “Open OAJ” instead, this means that the application is already installed on your phone.
- Close the browser, and find the OAJ icon on the home menu of your phone.
- Open the app by tapping the icon, and log in.
Please note that on some Samsung models, the downloaded apps appear in the Samsung Apps folder and need to be separately added to the home menu.
