Duties of OAJ president

The president of OAJ serves as the Chair of the OAJ Executive Board and leads the work of the OAJ office. OAJ president plays a leading role in advocating for the contractual rights, well-being, and educational policies of the members, as well as in societal influence.

OAJ president also holds a significant position in the activities of JUKO and within the Akava community.

Katarina Murto is OAJ's president

Murto transitioned to the role of President from her position as Director of Labor Market Affairs at Akava in 2022. She has worked in teaching positions for ten years, most recently as a Lecturer in Dance at the Theatre Academy.
