The Ethical Committee for the Teaching Profession is an independent national body which produces opinions on ethical issues in the education sector. The Ethical Committee promotes the discussion of teachers’ professional ethics.
The Ethical Committee for the Teaching Profession produces statements, organises seminars and creates publications on issues related to professional ethics in the education sector.
The Ethical Committee has taken a stand on, for instance, assessments, bullying and children’s rights. The ethical guideline for teachers, the Comenius’ Oath, was drafted by the Ethical Committee.
