The Trade Union of Education in Finland (OAJ), the Public and Welfare Sectors’ Union (JHL), and the Trade Union Jyty issued a strike warning for the private education sector to the National Conciliator Anu Sajavaara and Sivistysala ry (Educational Sector Association). If an agreement is not reached beforehand, the result will be a four-day strike on May 13–16, 2024.
The potential work stoppage concerns work shifts that begin between Monday, May 13, at 00:01, and Thursday, May 16, at 23:59. The strike will last until the end of the concluding work shift. A strike allowance of 180 euros per day will be paid to those participating in the strike.
