Study leave
Study leave is time off granted to pursue studies. Study leave is generally granted for publicly controlled education.

Job alternation leave
Job alternation leave means a temporary period of time taken off work by a person who is in a permanent employment relationship and has built a certain work history.
Other types of leave
Other types of leave include, for example, 50th and 60th birthdays, a wedding day, the funeral of a family member and being called up for military service under the Finnish Conscription Act. Time off can also be taken for doctors’ appointments.
